Valid: Wednesday 13th February 2013
Issued For: Heavy Snowfall
Forecast Detail:
Through the course of Wednesday an Atlantic weather front pushing Eastwards into cold air will bring a spell of heavy snowfall across many Northern and Central areas.
North West England and into Scotland look likely to be the worst hit with accumulations between 10-12cm, locally higher across elevated and exposed areas. Further South a brief spell of snowfall is expected which could give accumulations of 1-3cm before it turns increasingly back to rain.
Through Wednesday night and into Thursday morning milder air will begin filtering in across all areas turning the snow back to rain.

We got about 2″ of snow over 3 hours late yesterday afternoon in North Lincolnshire but shortly after it stopped snowing the air temp went up and it started raining. This morning all the snow has gone
It has been a rubbish winter for snow this year probably because most of the weather systems have been coming in from the atlantic.
