Valid: Thursday 12th – Friday 13th July 2012
Issued For: Rainfall, Flooding
- Active Low Pressure system pushes Eastwards across Southern England
- Rainfall totals of 20-25mm
- Saturated Ground, localised flooding
During the course of Thursday and into Friday an active area of Low Pressure will push Eastwards across Southern areas bringing a period of heavy rainfall to Southern counties, rainfall totals in the region of 15-20mm are expected quite widely. Whilst this wouldn’t usually cause much of a problem the saturated ground and high river levels in some areas is likely to lead to some localised flooding. This advisory will be updated when the system comes into range of High Resolution rainfall models.
