Over the last couple of weeks I’ve had quite a few people asking me if it’s going to snow in their area this winter or when they’re going to see snow. Forecasting snowfall beyond three days just isn’t possible, so many factors have to fall into place for snow to reach the surface. Looking at the specific details beyond a three day period just isn’t possible.

When the risk of snow is evident I will update the Blog as and when needed, the Snow Watch Page will also be updated to explain where the snowfall is expected and how much snow is likely.

For those asking whether they will see snowfall this winter, I can’t say, as above forecasting specifics isn’t possible. I will add however that a large majority of the UK often sees at least one snowfall per year away from perhaps Cornwall and Devon.

I hope this helps answer a few of the questions I’ve been getting recently.
